Be Mine, Galentine?

I’ve never been a huge fan of Valentine’s Day, whether I was single or in a relationship. So when Amy Poehler’s character, Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec, introduced me to Galentine’s Day, I was HOOKED. It gave me a holiday to celebrate the wonderful women in my life, to appreciate the qualities they possess and which I strive to emulate.

I have been blessed to be surrounded by strong, intelligent, graceful, generous, funny, insightful, sassy females, from my mom and sister, to the girls I grew up with, college friends, and work friends. I am so incredibly (and sometimes embarrassingly) proud of each of them and the amazing things they have accomplished.

So this year I celebrated Galentine’s Day weekend by visiting an impressive, sassy friend in her new city-home. We tore it up and took names and I am so SO lucky.  Like, how the heck did I get to be so lucky to know people like this?

I LOVE YOU LADIES ❤ Can’t stop, won’t stop.

P.S. This was also my first official date with San Francisco and it looks to be the start of a long love affair with my favorite West Coast city 🙂
