I’ve missed you, I love you, please don’t go away again.
Following our week of April SNOW showers a few weeks ago, I busted out some lace and blazers and my new heeled flats. And yes, I know that’s an oxymoron, but bear with me.
See what I mean about the heeled flat? It’s like someone Frankensteined a chunky heel onto a beautiful ballet flat. When this style originally hit the fashion scene, I was NOT a fan. However, they have grown on me and are a new favorite. Especially since they hang out in the perfect middle ground between dressed up heel and comfortable flats. I’m all about comfortable fashion. Plus, walking in these babies is like walking in flats. So cutting down on my clumsy tendencies. woohoo
Since there was still a chill to the air, I balanced my lacy top with a neutral velvety blazer that I’ve had for ages. I’m a big fan of layering in my office looks since the weather outside and inside can be unpredictable.
I have a major fashion confession: I have a fashion love affair with J. Crew. I am SO obsessed and literally half my closet is filled with pieces from the geniuses over there.
Unfortunately, a J. Crew addiction is a quick road to an empty bank account. Don’t worry parents, everything I’m wearing was purchased on sale or was a gift [thank you friends/family!]. Plus, J. Crew products are well made and last for years, so when I’m looking for classic pieces that never go out of style, that’s the first place I go.similar) / jeans J. Crew / necklace J. Crew / blazer J.
